Enthusiastic? Obviously. Excited? Duh. Exhilarated? Now were talking.

It’s been hard finding the right words to describe how thrilled we are about Nonprofit Neighbors in 2014. Some many plans, so little time. Thus, we decided to let our new phone-friendly website do all the talking for us.

Please welcome NonprofitNeighbors.com.

On the first Wednesday of every month we sponsor a free nonprofit brown bag forum called Nonprofit Neighbors. This open-discussion environment allows organizations from around the Kansas City area to come together and share ideas, issues and tips with one another.

It’s our belief that through these monthly meetings we will create a greater community among area nonprofits, which will ultimately help the individual organizations with their respective missions.

In the long run, we hope that by introducing nonprofits with each other, we all will become better connected with the needs of the city. Then, through those relationships, we will be able to produce some truly amazing accomplishments.

And so with that goal in mind, we created an official, digital home for all things Nonprofit Neighbors. Some of the site’s features include:

  • Complete details for upcoming meetings including scheduled speakers, featured topics and mobile-friendly maps for easy driving directions
  • Contact information for fellow nonprofit participants
  • Recent discussion recaps and overviews
  • Links to our Facebook page, Twitter account and Hashtag Hangout feature #npnchat

Quick tip: when you first visit the site, scroll down to the Hashtag Hangout section. This is a new idea we thought of so that nonprofits outside of Kansas City could get involved as well. #ItsAwesome

So, if you haven’t done so already, check out NonprofitNeighbors.com (as well as our Facebook and Twitter accounts) and get better connected to the nonprofit world around you.
