The news just keeps rolling in.
On Monday, Dec. 2, VolunteerMark was officially selected as a nominee for a 2014 Edison Award.
Presented by the nonprofit organization Edison Universe, the Edison Awards are handed out to recognize and honor excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design andinnovation.
The accolades are focused on “innovators as much as innovations,” and strive to select revolutionary products, services and excellence and leadership in the innovation field. Nominees are judged on four criteria: concept, value, delivery and impact.
As you probably already surmised, the awards are named after American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, who initiated more 1,090 U.S. patents with his groundbreaking new products and market development methods.
Since 1987, the Edison Awards have recognized and honored some of the most innovative new products, services and business leaders in the world.
This year’s award finalists will be announced in February with the winners being honored later that spring at the 2014 Edison Awards event on April 29-30, 2014, in San Francisco, Cali.
